1st Meeting PEN TG on Maintenance of PCB-containing equipment & Reg.Workshop on POPs wastes & PCBs
The 1st Meeting PEN TG on Maintenance of PCB-containing equipment & Reg.Workshop on POPs wastes & PCBs was held from 15 to 18 February 2011 in Panama City, Panama.
The First Meeting of the PCBs Elimination Network Thematic Group on Maintenance of PCB-containing equipment was held back to back with the Regional Capacity Building Workshop on the Environmentally Sound Management of POPs wastes and PCBs for Spanish-speaking countries in Central America and the Caribbean. The workshop was organized in collaboration with the Stockholm Convention Regional Centre for Latin America and the Caribbean located in Panama.
The objectives of the meetings were: to enhance the capacity of the participants on the concepts, principles and standards for the Environmentally Sound Management (ESM) of PCBs and POPs wastes and to provide input to the technical work of the Thematic Group of the PCBs Elimination Network (PEN) on Maintenance.
