Financial Needs Assessment 2015-2019

The terms of reference for the assessment of the funding needed by developing‑country Parties and Parties with economies in transition to implement the Stockholm Convention over the period 2015–2019 was adopted by the fifth meeting of its Conference of the Parties in 2011 (decision SC-5/22).

Parties and others were invited to provide the relevant information required to undertake the assessment of funding needs for consideration by the Conference of the Parties at its sixth meeting.

For the collection of relevant information, the Parties were requested to use the format set forth in table 2 of annex II to decision SC-5/22 in reporting on the resources used during the period 2010–2014 and the funding needed for 2015–2019 for the implementation of the Convention.

Parties were also requested to include executive summaries, identifying critical substantive and financial issues pertinent to their national implementation plans, in their submissions on funding needs.

The report on funding needs for Parties that are developing countries or countries with economies in transition to implement the provisions of the Convention over the period 2015-2019 was discussed during the sixth meeting of the Conference of the Parties in 2013.
