The work to update or develop new guidance on BAT/BEP relevant to the chemicals listed in Annex A or B to the Convention has been identified by the experts as a priority area of work within their workplan.

The following three guidance documents have been identified as a priority are being updated or developed:

Guidance on best available techniques and best environmental practices for the production and use of UV-328 with specific exemptions under the Stockholm Convention

This guidance is currently being developed with the support of the expert Roster. Draft versions of the guidance will be posted here once available.

Guidance on best available techniques and best environmental practices relevant to the polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) listed under the Stockholm Convention

The March 2021 version of this guidance document which has been developed to guide Parties in their actions to prevent or reduce releases of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) from the uses/applications under the specific exemptions listed in the Convention, is currently being updated with the support of the expert Roster to include information on Dechlorane Plus. Draft versions of the revised guidance will be posted here once available.

Guidelines on best available techniques and provisional guidance on best environmental practices relevant to Article 5 and Annex C of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants.

The work to update the guidelines and guidance BAT and BEP relevant to Article 5 and Annex C to the Convention has been identified by the experts as a priority area of work within their workplan.
