Amendments to Annexes to the Stockholm Convention

This list is indicative only – any official statement concerning the status of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession of the Stockholm Convention or any amendments thereto is solely within the competence of the Depositary of the Convention in New York (based on the provisions of the Convention). In accordance with Article 29 of the Convention, the Secretary-General of the United Nations is the Depository of this Convention.

The table below includes amendments adopted by the Conference of the Parties up to the amendment to AnnexA to list perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS), its salts and PFHxS-related compounds, adopted at its tenth meeting that enter into force on 16 November 2023 for all Parties that have not submitted a notification of non-acceptance in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 3(b) of Article 22 and those Parties that made a declaration in accordance with paragraph 4 of Article 25 and have not deposited their instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession with respect to such amendments. The amendments adopted at the eleventh meeting of the Conference of the Parties to list dechlorane plus, methoxychlor, and UV-328 will be included in the table at a later date.

Blank cells in the table below indicate that the Party has not ratified, accepted, accessed or approved the amendment(s) in question.
