Regional capacity-building workshop on new POPs and the process for reviewing and updating NIPs

The Regional capacity-building workshop on new POPs and the process for reviewing and updating NIPs was held from 1 to 4 November 2010 in Dakar, Senegal.

The workshop aimed at raising awareness on the amendments to the Convention that entered into force on 26 August 2010 and on the implications at the national level of the new obligations arising herewith. Furthermore, the workshop gave participants the opportunity to become familiar with the online electronic reporting system in preparation for the second reporting cycle ending in 2010.
