Guidance on BAT and BEP relevant to the chemicals listed in Annex A or B to the Convention
The work to update or develop new guidance on BAT and BEP relevant to the chemicals listed in Annex A or B to the Convention has been identified by the experts as a priority area of work within their workplan.
The following four guidance documents have been identified as a priority are being updated or newly developed with the support of the expert:
- Update of the guidance on short-chain chlorinated paraffins to include medium-chain chlorinated paraffins
- Update of the guidance on PFOS, PFOA and related substances and inclusion of long-chain perfluorocarboxylic acids, their salts and related compounds
- Update of the guidance on UV-328, taking into account the amendments to the specific exemptions adopted at COP-12
- Development of the guidance on Chlorpyrifos (if decided at the next BAT/BEP meeting)
