Subject: Armenia information on draft risk profiles

Dear Stéphanie Cadet ,

I would like to express the Republic of Armenia opinion that the submitted draft risk profiles on Lindane, Hexabromobiphenyl, Perfluorooctane Sulfonate, Pentabromodiphenyl ether (PentaBDE), and Chlordecone contain comprehensive information, which confirms that all substances meet the screening criteria specified in Annex D of the Stockholm Convention.

Presented information is sufficient to warrant global action on these compounds.

The Republic of Armenia agrees with the decision to include the above-mentioned chemicals to the List of Chemicals regulated under the Stockholm Convention.

In addition, I would like to inform you that beyond earlier submitted data on Lindane the Republic of Armenia has no available information regarding the possible use and production of Hexabromobiphenyl, Perfluorooctane Sulfonate, Pentabromodiphenyl ether (PentaBDE). Chlordecone has never been produced or used in Armenia.

Best regards,

Anahit Aleksandryan
