Third Toolkit Expert Meeting

The meeting was attended by invited experts from the Toolkit Expert Roster. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and agree on the following:

  • Progress reports on implementation of the intersessional workplan (2007-2008)
  • Proposals for Toolkit revision and updating
  • Evaluation of the Toolkit review and updating process as outlined in Annex to decision SC-3/6
  • Workplan for the intersessional periods (2008-2009 and 2009-2011)

Outputs:

  • Proposals to the Conference of the Parties on revision and updating of the Toolkit
  • Proposals to the Conference of the Parties on continuation of the Toolkit review and updating process
  • Workplan for the intersessional periods (2008-2009 and 2009-2011)

Highlights

At the third meeting the Toolkit experts discussed and agreed on the progress achieved through implementation of the intersessional workplan (2007-2008), reviewed proposals for Toolkit revisions and updating, evaluated the Toolkit review and updating process implemented according to Annex to decision SC-3/6 and agreed on the workplans for the intersessional periods (2008-2009 and 2009-2011).

A progress report for consideration by the Conference of the Parties was prepared, containing among others proposals for revision and updating of the Toolkit as well as on continuation of the Toolkit review and updating process.
