The National Centre for Cleaner Technologies Production (NCCTP), Algeria, is a Regional Centre under the Stockholm Convention serving the countries of North Africa: Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger and Tunisia.

The NCCTP serves as a tool for implementation of the national policy of environmental protection, reduction of active forms of pollution and industrial pollution at their source, and environmentally sound use of natural resources (water, energy and raw materials). Beside, NCCTP also plays an important role of promoting environmental management system and cleaner production in industries.

NCCTP is pleased to announce the launch an independent website dedicated to mission of the Regional Centre - www.popsalgerie.com. The Centre's website is presented in French and English.

NCCTP was endorsed as Regional Centre under the Stockholm Convention for a term of four years at the fifth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention in April 2011.
